About The Orangery Restaurant
Fine dining in Stirling
Part of Stirling’s award-winning Victoria Square guest house, The Orangery Restaurant offers light lunches, afternoon tea and a fine dining evening service within either the main dining room or connected conservatory. In keeping with the venue’s Victoria Square address in the Kings Park conservation area, the main dining room features a beautifully decorated and preserved ceiling while the conservatory enjoys views of the adjacent parkland. The food on the plates is just as eye-catching. The Orangery welcomes residents and guests.
Finest Scottish produce
Aiming to become Stirling’s premier fine dining venue, The Orangery uses the finest Scottish produce in dishes which blend traditional classics with modern innovation. Both the table d’hôte and Chef’s Taster Menu focus on seasonal ingredients in dishes such as smoked haddock terrine with charred leeks, Dunlop cheddar glaze and crispy capers. The pan-fried Scottish lamb rump might be served with confit potatoes, braised celery and blue cheese or diners might chose the handmade tomato and tarragon gnocchi with heritage tomatoes and sauté celeriac.
Light – and more substantial – lunch options include a rich Cullen skink, pasta, omelettes and a black pudding dauphinoise with smoked bacon, a poached egg and rocket.
Victoria Square transport and attractions
Victoria Square has limited in-house parking and ample street parking. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow are under an hour drive. The bus station and train station are a ten minute walk. Whisky tours, Stirling Castle and shopping at the House of Bruar are all within easy striking distance.
