About Nawab Mughlai Indian Cuisine
Innovative Indian in Stirling city centre
Nawab is a chic Indian restaurant on Upper Craigs in the centre of Stirling. Its smart, contemporary interior has a mix of booth and stand alone tables, all lit by dramatic lighting. The walls are decorated with wooden carvings and pictures of Indian scenes. Diners can also enjoy watching the chefs at the tandoor ovens in the open plan kitchen.
Authentic and British Indian curries
At Nawab, the kitchen takes pride in using lots of locally sourced ingredients in both their authentic Indian and British Indian curries. Familiar options such as chicken tikka, lamb rogan josh and king prawn korma are all available alongside more exotic dishes. Intrepid curry fans may want to explore dishes such as the lamb rassander tawa or the Nawab special handi – a hot, Punjabi-style dish made with fresh ginger, garlic, tomatoes, yoghurt and desi Punjabi spices.
Naturally, there are plenty of vegetarian dishes and fish lovers are spoiled for choice. The staff recommend the tandoori sea bass and the monkfish kebabs. There are also European dishes for diners who are less keen on the Indian choices.
