About Glenskirlie Restaurant & Grill
An all round great experience!
The restaurant is currently located in the castle and located in what was used as the chapel at a wedding we were at a few years ago. We were greeted as soon as we went in and the service continued at that level, friendly, efficient and yet not rushing. The food was chosen from a set menu which may not suit everyone but we opted for duck and the chicken as our main courses, soup and a salmon dish as our starters. This was a four course meal and the quality of the food, the presentation and the taste of every dish was exceptional! I could not fault our experience and we have eaten out regularly over many years. I would certainly put Glenskirlie with our top three!!
Beautiful 4 Course Lunch
We ate in the Castle since the House is closed over Winter. Warm greeting upon arrival, exceptionally friendly waiting staff. The menu had something for everyone and each course was delicious. I have been a semi regular visitor to Glenskirlie for the past 30 years and shall continue to visit. I love the way they keep things up to date and modern without compromise to quality or value. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Scottish ingredients cooked with flair
The chefs at Glenskirlie House Restaurant and Grill take great pride in using the best quality Scottish ingredients to create their innovative British menus. As well as an express lunch menu, they offer an a la carte and keenly priced, inventive market menu.
The a la carte starters are an appealing blend of tradition, adventure and new twists on classics. Examples might be the soy and sesame-cured cod with ginger sake jelly and avocado mayo or the chicken and rabbit terrine served with a pistachio purée and cherry Bakewell.
The main courses are split into classic crowd-pleasers and more complex options. The 1/2lb burger; steak pie or the haddock and hand-cut chips with a parsley and butter sauce fit the first category. Dishes like the chicken with peanut pesto, pickled raisin, charred broccoli and broccoli velouté fit the second.
There are also T-bone and fillet Scotch beef steaks, game and fish dishes like the sea bass with Cullen skink. Naturally, the menus change according to the seasons and the produce available.
