Steak offers

Why is steak generally considered to be the most luxurious dish? Maybe because it tends to be expensive. Maybe because so much concentrated effort is put into bringing out its best flavours, from dry aging rooms to josper grills. Maybe it’s simply because steak is so delicious.

29 is one of my favourite restaurants

I have visited this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The set lunch-time menu offers well presented, quality food, at a reasonable price.

    Disappointing

I was looking forward to Jamie’s but was disappointed. The waiter seemed confused about the deal (which I had to explain repeatedly that it was prepaid) and made even a small switch to a soft drink difficult. The starter was nice but I didn’t eat the chips that came with my burger as they seemed to have been repeatedly fried/reheated and had the dregs from the fryer in them like big bits of, what looked like, batter. Personally, I would not recommended.

    Outstanding in every way

Located on the second floor of Princes Square, our table was on the terrace which had a lovely outside feeling. Our waiter, Simon, was attentive, but unobtrusive and knowledgeable. The food was stunning, my scallop starter and lemon sole main course were perfect, and my wife's vegetarian dishes were equally excellent, as were the home made truffles and creme brûlée. Faultless, and very good value considering the quality.
