The Piccolo Mondo has returned to its’ original home and is wowing new and returning customers. The food is delicious and there is a great menu to choose from. The Italian food is beautifully cooked with a modern Scottish twist. You won't be disappointed at the Piccolo Mondo where Lio Pierotti always gives you a warm welcome to his completely refurbished restaurant in the centre of the Royal Burgh of Renfrew. The top quality food and service standards have transferred seamlessly from Glasgow. The service is very friendly, prompt and attentive and waiters are happy to advise on the specials of the day. The A la Carte menu offers a very wide choice of Italian dishes. Starters ignite the culinary imagination with carpaccio of beef, grilled tiger prawns and classic antipasto with oodles of parmesan shavings. Seafood, beef, veal, chicken and pork all feature with a variety of sauces and pastas. Good sized portions will ensure a very fulfilling and tasty experience. The celebration menu at £55 for two including pre and post dinner drinks and a bottle of house wine provides both fantastic food and value. The 5pm 2 course lunch with a glass of wine is fantastic value. The restaurant is busy at weekends, so book in advance. Italian wines are a major feature of the long wine list which also offers wine by the glass. Highly recommended.
