About Amaretto Italian Kitchen & Bar
Delicious Italian Food
Excellent value, great food, very friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back.
Authentic Italian gem
My husband and I booked the table for Friday afternoon at 2.30pm so when we arrived it was relatively quiet. We were seated immediately and given some guidance on the menu options by the very friendly waiter. It is a beautiful restaurant and when the pizza and pasta dishes arrived they were amazing. We chose Italian style carbonara (no cream) and pepperoni and caramelised onion pizza with a side of garlic bread and mozzarella. All the dishes were delicious and hot. The prosecco came with fresh cranberries which was a nice festive touch and our coffees were hot and strong in true Italian style. We enjoyed every part of the visit and will definitely go back very soon and take our friends and family.

Tasty Italian cooking
Amaretto’s menus offer a delicious variety of all the Italian favourites. There are numerous authentic antipasti dishes to start your meal, from sogliola fritta – deep fried fresh lemon sole strips, coated in a light batter, served on a bed of mixed leaves with a citrus mayonnaise dip – to the classic insalata tricolore – fresh creamy mozzarella with plum tomatoes & rocket leaves in an Italian dressing.
Mains cover stonebaked pizza and pasta dishes as you would expect as well as separate meat and fish dishes. Popular choices include pollo all’Italiana – supreme of chicken wrapped in bacon and stuffed with pesto, sundried tomato and mozzarella cheese, served in a garlic and Italian white wine sauce – and the filetto di spigola – pan-fried fillet of sea bass cooked in a lemongrass, spring onion and Italian white wine sauce.
If you have room for dessert the affogato speciale is well worth a try – two scoops of vanilla or chocolate ice cream topped with a shot of hot Italian espresso, amaretti biscuits and a drizzle of your favourite liqueur.
