Would definitely go back very enjoyable.

I took my son who is dairy intolerant and the waitress was very helpful. The only small criticism is they did not have soya milk for my son to have a coffee.

    Steak Excellence

Service outstanding from when we walked in. Friendly, helpful. Excellent. Andre, our waiter superb.  Explained all the cuts, showed us the cuts, and the best way for it to be served. The steak(Bone in Rib eye) was cooked the way we wanted and was tasty to the last mouthful. Excellent meal, ambience and service from all. Thank you very much.

Contemporary British restaurant in heart of Manchester

The Grill on the Alley is a modern British restaurant and bar on Ridgefield in Manchester city centre. The decor is urban with stripped brick walls, neon and hanging lights. With several dining areas, including a mezzanine level, plus an array of booths, high tables and round tables, there are plenty of options for dining as a couple or in a group. The Grill on the Alley is smart but casual and you could have a date here as comfortably as a business lunch. Classic and contemporary cocktails can top and tale your meal while live acoustic music adds to the ambience. The Grill on the Alley is part of the Blackhouse group of restaurants.

Solid, honest and simple food

Beef and seafood are at the heart of The Grill on the Alley. Pride of place goes to the 28 day, wet and dry aged steaks. These range from Argentinean rib-eyes to English fillets and Australian rumps. Sharing cuts such as the Chateaubriand are also popular. Traditional Sunday roasts, burgers, roast chickens and lamb rumps complete the carnivorous main course line-up. From hake Kiev and poached salmon to seared sashimi tuna and a classic fish ‘n’ chips, the seafood options are just as appealing.

Manchester city centre transport and attractions

The Grill on the Alley is on Ridgefield, just off Deansgate. There is restricted on-street parking in the area and extensive pay parking at The Arndale and on Faulkner Street. Just across the Irwell, Salford Central is the nearest train station. Local attractions include Royal Exchange Theatre and Manchester Opera House.
