About The Bierkeller
Vibrant Bavarian cellar bar in Millennium Quarter
The Bierkeller is a Bavarian-themed cellar bar that’s firmly focused on giving customers a good time while they’re dining. A live oompah band, waitresses in traditional Bavarian dress and a hearty German-influenced menu all create a fun eating out experience.
Based in The Printworks bar and restaurant complex in central Manchester, The Bierkeller’s wooden benches and exposed brickwork all add to its cellar bar vibe. As you’d expect, there’s a varied Bavarian beer list too.
Bavarian-themed bar food
The menu at Bierkeller offers classic bar comfort food with a Bavarian influence. Don’t expect 100% authentic German dishes but do expect hearty, satisfying fare. Typical menu items include bratwurst hotdogs such as the Currywurst Frankfurter served in a signature brioche roll, Kaserkraner pork sausage and even a vegan smoked bratwurst.
Also on offer are Brotzeit Mixed Plates offering up combinations of bratwurst, currywurst, smoked hotdogs, sauerkraut, fries and dips. On the distinctly un-German side of things are a selection of beefburgers, plus a vegetarian falafel and mint patty burger. Sides include sweet potato fries, spicy wedges and onion rings.
Bavarian beers on offer include Erdinger Weissbier, a medium gold wheat beer, Kaltenburg, an award-winning lager, and Timmermans Strawberry fruit beer. If beer is not your thing then you can choose from imaginative Jagermeister themed cocktails such as Captain Jager and Gentle J.
