About Scene Dining

Stylish, contemporary Indian restaurant in Spinningfields

Scene is an Indian restaurant with a smart, modern design on Leftbank in the Spinningfields area of Manchester city centre. With an open plan kitchen and large main dining room, it is a light and airy space during the day. Booths and candlelit tables help create a romantic ambience as night falls. As well as a semi-private dining room, Scene has a 1950’s Bollywood-style cocktail bar; a lantern-lit terrace right by the River Irwell and a veranda for guests who want to puff on a shisha. Put another way, whether you want a large space for a corporate event or a quiet table for two, Scene has a space for you.

Street food-inspired menus

The wide ranging menus at Scene are inspired by the street food vendors of India, Pakistan and Southern Asia. Regional specialities are well represented and all the classic Anglo-Indian curries are available.

Signature dishes include the Punjabi chicken dish, dhaba murgh and Rajasthani laal maas, a slow-cooked lamb dish. Sharing is very much encouraged. Try the desi dhaba, a sharing balti brought direct from stove to table. To finish, there are popular Indian desserts and hot beverages such as gulab jamun and desi chai. All dishes served at Scene are Halal.
