About Chez Mal - Manchester

Chic British brasserie in Manchester city centre

Part of Malmaison hotel on Piccadilly, Chez Mal is a cool brasserie in the heart of Manchester. Storm lamps, exposed piping, steel joists and reclaimed wood give it a relaxed, funky feel. The dining room has an open kitchen giving diners a view of one of the city’s only Josper Grills – a charcoal barbecue oven that cooks steaks to smoky perfection. The Ember Lounge offers private dining facilities while bar staff offer a selection of nifty cocktails.

Finest British ingredients in Piccadilly

From Cornish scallops to Hereford beef, Chez Mal Brasserie uses the finest British produce. The ever evolving menus showcase these ingredients in dishes which range from British classics to more exotic options such as the Keralan monkfish curry or the Moroccan spiced whole chicken. The latter is designed to be shared, as is the Chateaubriand beef. Check the meat locker next to the kitchen if you want to see your fillet, strip steak or rib-eye au naturel. While the menu changes seasonally, some dishes, like the towering Mal burger, remain perennially popular.
As well as a seasonal prix fixe menu, Chez Mal operates a magnificent Sunday brunch with endless starters from the Chef’s table; a selection of main courses including roasts, and a dessert.
