About Browns Manchester

Classic brasserie in Manchester city centre

The Manchester branch of Browns Brasserie and Bar is in the converted Athenaeum, formerly one of the city’s most famous pubs but originally the imposing banking hall of Parrs Bank. Spacious booth seating, an impressive bar, marble pillars and beautiful art nouveau detailing make for a spectacular dining room in the heart of Manchester city centre.

Popular brasserie dishes served all day

From brunch to a late supper, perhaps with a cocktail nightcap, Browns is open all day until late. There are several menus ranging from afternoon tea and Sunday roasts to pre-theatre options and seasonal specials such as lamb and asparagus. As well as hearty classic s like the Browns’ fish pie and the half roast chicken, there are lighter options such as the prawn and crab linguine or the char grilled chicken Caesar. The grill section is always popular and Browns uses British beef for its steaks and burgers. You may want to leave room for desserts such as the sticky toffee pudding and crème brulée.
