Great night
Met up with friends for the early evening menu. Fantastic value. Service was second to none. Have been there around 6 times now and will be back.

Fine dining with an Italian twist in Hamilton
Runner-up for Scotland’s Best Newcomer in the Scottish Italian Awards 2018, Twenty One Restaurant is a fine dining spot serving up modern cuisine. Owned by the family team behind Glasgow’s much-loved City Merchant, all dishes are prepared with Italian flair. Inside, the decor is tasteful and contemporary, ideal for a smart lunch or intimate dinner for two.
Pastas, grill steaks and Modern European mains
Twenty One uses the best locally sourced Scottish produce to craft a selection of modern mains, grill steaks, pastas and risottos.
Choices can change seasonally, but expect starters such as the St James Smokehouse smoked salmon or the goat’s cheese & red pepper crouton.
Mains might feature rump of Scottish lamb with red wine jus; seared fillets of seabass with lyonnaise potatoes or venison & root vegetable casserole. From the grill section, take your pick from 80z chargrilled filet or sirloin steak served with sides and a choice of sauce.
The pastas and risottos have a definite hint of decadence, with lobster ravioli; saffron & scallop risotto, and clam & mussel spaghetti being a few of the choices on offer. That said, if you would prefer a classic carbonara, bolognese or arrabbiata, then the kitchen brigade can whip that up for you as well.
H3. Close to main train station and shopping centre
Twenty One is on Campbell Street, not far from The Regent Shopping Centre, making it a stylish spot for lunch after browsing the shops. It is also handy for the Vue Cinema. Hamilton Central train station is around a 10-minute walk away and you can find pay parking nearby at Duke Street Car Park.
