    An appreciated Christmas Gift

This voucher was given to us as a Christmas gift as it was a venue that was within walking distance of our home. We found food portions (Spaghetti Carbonara and Pepperoni Pizza) to be generously sized and filling. The food was also freshly prepared. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive. All in all, a pleasant dining experience that we would repeat.

    Nice Wee Place!

My friend and I had booked afternoon tea. We were taken straight to our table by a lovely friendly lady. As she was on her own we had to wait around 10 minutes to be served but she did apologise. Everything was great. Especially the home baking!! We will definitely be back as the Lunch Menu looked amazing too!!

Casual Scots Italian in Hamilton

Launched in 2019, Amoreish is a family-friendly, Scots Italian restaurant on Gateside Street in Hamilton. Along with a cheery, modern decor, it offers a warm welcome and a variety of menus to suit most occasions. On some weekends, there are entertainers and tribute acts to enhance the ambience.

Fresh ingredients, great choices

The kitchen at Amoreish are passionate about using fresh ingredients so their menus regularly change depending on what is in season. From lunch through afternoon tea to the early evening and à la carte menus, they are all keenly priced and offer a variety of Scottish and Italian classics. Simple Italian dishes might be the minestrone soup, lasagne, meatballs and spaghetti followed by a trio of Italian ice creams. More complex Italian choices could include the pan-roasted Skye scallops with a spinach and Parmesan cream sauce; veal scaloppa with a lemon butter and zucchini sauce or the seafood diabolo.

More Scottish options include the haddock and chips, haggis bon bons or the sirloin steak with chips and sauce of choice. Add in afternoon teas, pizza, Sunday roasts plus a takeaway menu and Amoreish has most options covered.

Hamilton transport links

Amoreish is on Gateside Street and a five minute walk from Hamilton West train station. Regent and New Cross shopping centres are a ten minute walk. There is car parking next to the restaurant.
