Had booked for a family dinner and I was embarrassed as I’d picked here and it was very disappointing. Market menu had nothing on it either my sister-in-law or I liked, and out of all our party we are the ones who are not fussy eaters and usually manage to find something we like. So ended up we all went to other menu, management accommodated us with additional payment. One of my nieces took vegetable lasagne and it looked dreadful and she said it tasted gritty so couldn’t eat it, having had vegetable lasagne before this bore no resemblance. The vegetable soup was very watery and needed a fair bit salt n pepper added. I ordered lamb and it was really too undercooked for me so I could only eat around the edges of it, I really like lamb but this was disappointing to say the least. At the end of the meal we ordered coffees, now I saw my latte on a tray but after half an hour the other coffees had not arrived so asked the waitress where they were, was told the bar was busy. Now, I’m sorry but when you start making an order you finish it before starting next customers order. Eventually the other coffees arrived and they were lukewarm so had to send them back. After 15 minutes the replacement coffees had not arrived so we just cancelled the order. Management did the right thing and this was reflected on the bill. Our waitress apologised but it wasn’t her fault. I am so upset as I had not been out for a family dinner for a while and this one was ruined. It’s not as if the restaurant was busy, there were 3 tables in use.
