We thought we'd try a Una Storia having stumbled across it on the 5pm site. 2 courses for under £12 along with a glass of prosecco seemed almost too good to be true. Would it be that "choosing from the 5pm menu" would reveal a choice so limited that "a la carte" would inevitably be the only real choice? Well, actually the 5pm menu turned out to have a great choice of both starters and main courses appealing to carnivores and vegetarians alike. The food was fresh, well presented and tasty but the real winner for Una Storia is the engaging and friendly service. The only down point for us was the décor which doesn't really have a feel of Italy! Still, this is a great wee find. If you fancy a bite to eat before enjoying the liquid delights offered by Ashton Lane this little gem is certainly value for money.
