I took my daughter here for dinner. It has been ages, probably because it has always been a bit more expensive than the normal 2 courses for £10 that you find elsewhere. It is a lovely restaurant, it was pretty empty when we were there. We shared the haddock risotto, which was lovely. My daughter had the sea bass and I had the ham, mashed potatoes and cabbage. You used to get big thick slice ham. but it was a wee thin slice and seemed like one dessert spoon of mash! Nice cabbage. Daughter's plate also looked small. We then shared dessert (a wee apple crumble) - the pastry was too hard and the apple crumble mix was ok. I expected better. Wine was OK but used to be a nice generous glass. I actually left hungry, never a good sign.
