Butchershop Bar & Grill Review

  • Rating Overpriced compared with similar restaurants (Rating 3.2/5)
We were initially disappointed yesterday in the table we were given and were moved to another slightly better but cramped table. All the tables for 2 are very small which does not make it a particularly comfortable experience. The food was good but in our opinion no better than similar type restaurants in Glasgow. However, we felt that £9 for a decidedly average red wine was overpriced and £4 for an extremely small bowl of house salad was taking it a bit too far. These prices would be perfectly acceptable for a decent wine and a larger bowl of salad. It was only when we left that we realised that we had been charged full price for a dessert instead of the £18.95 for a three course 5pm deal! This all made a £15.95 for 2-course lunch for two, not good value for money.
