We had booked the 2 course and glass of wine deal, which is good value, even with the 3 pound supplement for the steak. The first course of salmon rillette was fresh and tasty. The steak was well cooked and almost gristle free. However, the sauce I ordered was stone cold, and when poured on to the steak, it chilled it - not good. When I told this to the waitress, she said sorry, but that was it ....... no feedback from the kitchen (I doubt she told anyone) and no compensation. I guess this was a one-off, as previous meals have been fine. There is an issue of lack of staff training here, I think.
