The Sisters Jordanhill Review

  • Rating A forgotten gem (Rating 4.4/5)
Sometimes when a restaurant is on your doorstep you almost forget it is there! The 5pm dinner deal was excellent value though choosing the steak set us back £7.95 each for a supplement, which impacted on the final bill. Having said that, the steak was beautifully cooked and great quality. I had the soup starter which was pea and mint and it was flavoursome and plentiful. My partner had the chicken pate which was pretty much what you would expect, though I note that many places now give far too much for the oatcakes or biscuit they provide. This was the case here as well as probably about 50% of the pate was not eaten. For me the slight let down was the dessert. I had Apple tatin with a toffee sauce. While the tatin itself was delicious there was far too much sauce smothering the dish. That said, we thought the quality of the food was great and the steak was amazing! A return visit not far away.
