The Sisters Jordanhill Review

  • Rating Nice local restaurant (Rating 4.8/5)
Meeting a friend for a catch up on a Tuesday night my friend recommended the restaurant as she'd been before. I always thought it The Sisters restaurants were somewhere for a special occasion (I'd been at Kelvingrove for my 50th a couple of years back) but a lack of nice restaurants in the area was why we chose here. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the menu offered for £14.95 was a two course with one small glass of wine from the pre-theatre menu. I had the chicken with haggis, turnip mash and pepper gravy. My friend chose the ham with buttered cabbage. We both decided on the baked Alaska (which was most definitely freshly made). We could have upgraded to 3 courses from which there was also two types of soup on offer (no doubt home made too). The service was good. As it was a Tuesday and quite quiet there was only one waitress but this was not a problem as there were only about 12-14 people there at any one time. Thoroughly enjoyable evening all round! Will definitely be back.
