We had wanted to try out the Crafty Pig, given the other establishments by the same crew, so booked a wee evening visit to see what was what. Lighting on the side booths was almost to the same level as a spot light, we felt there was no need for these to be on, given that there was a second line of lighting about a foot away, doesn't give a very cosy or comfortable dining experience. The tables were cramped and the guy who eventually spoke to us, while we waited at the 'wait to be seated' part struggled to find our booking and removed another time reserved sign to seat us. We were then served by another 2 people, one of which was excellent, really chatty, friendly and helpful. So we ordered a burger and a pulled pork, please note these are served in a plastic change basket type thing, not a plate....there was a lot of mess...
The standard of the food was excellent. Clientele that evening was a young student crowd, peppered by the odd over 30s person, this was also quiz night, which we didn't stay for. The quality of drinks, food and the excellent server did sway our overall experience.
