India Quay Review

  • Rating Pre-theatre at India Quay (Rating 4.6/5)
Excellent deal. 2 courses for 12.95. Menu looks a little limited on first but the available options are trusted favourites & the restaurant are willing to come & go, within reason (surcharge for seafood) so you can choose from most dishes on the menu including a nice range of vegetarian options. If you have the starter platter there is a good variety of bite sized appetizers served with crisp salad & onions. Try the lamb with mint & saffron rice. Spicy but with the cooling hint of mint. The sauce is plentiful & the meat is tender & cooked to perfection. Presentation is neat with the colours of the food contrasting with the crisp white of the crockery. The setting is modern with a choice of seating near the windows with a view of the riverside or a more intimate booth for a romantic night out. The staff are friendly without being invasive & ensure that customers needs are fulfilled. Drinks are of a standard price for Glasgow (comparable to most pubs or restaurants) so if you want a good quality food & adequate portions in a comfortable setting then give India Quay a try.....also free coffee or tea for 5pm customers
