Hotel du Vin @ 1 Devonshire Gardens Review

  • Rating Nice surroundings, food average (Rating 2.0/5)
I took my two friends out for afternoon tea, it was a birthday treat. We have been to lots of different places for afternoon tea and thought we'd try Hotel du Vin for a change. In all honesty, the service from start to finish was lack lustre, the sandwiches were mediocre and the cakes were okay. I am vegetarian. - tomato and lettuce on firm bread really lacks imagination and wasn't worth the money. I didn't complain because this was a day out for my two friends and I, I didn't want to spoil their treat. When I paid the bill, I was about to be charged for four people even though there were o my three of us. It's a lovely place but we won't be rushing back which is a bit of a shame. For us, afternoon tea doesn't get much better than the Blythswood Hotel
