Grosvenor Cafe Review

  • Rating Good and Bad! (Rating 2.6/5)
Arrived to find that I had no booking, had proof of email to confirm (and at time of booking requested a high table.) Due to no booking we were put in a very small table in a corner with no atmosphere. I asked if we could be moved as it wasn't suitable, however we were and it was perfect. The 5pm offer was 3 small plates and a glass of wine. Really disappointed that all our orders came at the one time. Requesting that we have our starters before our mains. I was eating my freshly made scotch egg to find a very long hair on the egg it was disgusting. I reported it and the waiter took it away and gave me a fresh. To sum the night, the waiter was a new guy didn't have a clue which wasn't his fault but the hassle with the coming out all at once, cold and then the hair issue, it wasn't pleasant. Shame really as we left the cinema in the city centre to come for dinner to the Grosvenor, where I think we should have stayed. Not sure I would rush back any time soon.
