About Down to Earth

Organic restaurant in Glasgow’s West End

Billed as ‘Scotland’s first 100% organic kitchen’, Down to Earth opened on Dumbarton Road in the summer of 2017. With mix ‘n match wooden furniture, hanging plants and large windows that let the light flood in, it is a simply decorated and airy space. All of which feels in fitting with their ethos of providing locally and ethically sourced, organic produce for all of its dishes. All fish, poultry and meat used is local and wild. Of course, all packaging is fully biodegradable and the wood used in-store is reclaimed or recycled.

Flexitarian and guilt-free menus

Eating well and eating healthily is at the heart of flexitarianism. Down to Earth aims to make it easy with menus that offer a balance of plant-based dishes and those using organic, ethically-sourced meat, poultry and fish. Diners are welcome to tuck into a meaty full cooked breakfast or green chicken sandwich on sourdough.
Alternatively, you could choose granola and dairy-free yoghurt or a veggie sharing platter comprising hummus, organic oatcakes, garlic-whipped yoghurt, vine tomatoes, mushroom olives and toasted sourdough. There are also daily specials to keep everything fresh. Down to Earth’s organic beers and ciders are from Samuel Smith. Vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar-free cakes are available for guilt-free treats.
