We booked a table for four people, we were seated at a small table laid out for four, the same size tables around us were set out for two people, we ordered our drinks and when they came the waitress put the bottle of wine, pitcher of cocktail and two drinks down on the table, that was the table more or less full.
We asked the waitress if we could be moved to a bigger table, she went to ask the manager, he came over and asked why we wanted to move, we said we wanted a bigger table as we were struggling for space with the table we had, he waved his hand over the table and said there's plenty of room at the table, he pointed to the table at certain places and stated that there's space there, space here and if we moved to another table in one of the the alcoves we would have less space, he then started to explain the width and length of the other table, we still asked to be moved, he was none too pleased.
The table in the alcove was like chalk and cheese to the table we were first given, plenty of room. I think the manager did not want to be put out by moving us, must have been too much bother for him.
