Rating Friendly place, but overpriced for what you get (Rating 2.6/5)
This was our first visit, I doubt we will come back as there are better value restaurant that are as nice or nicer in this locale. We both had the per-theatre set menu at £14.95 for 2 courses and a 125 ml glass of wine. Started with Cullen Skink, which we were excited about as it had great reviews. It was nice, but not the best I've had and not any better than my own home-made version. I then had the fish & chips, 2 small pieces of fish and not very many chips, but actually it was plenty especially after the soup. Taste was average. My hubbie had the lamb, which didn't come with much, a couple of bits of veg, so he ordered dauphoinese potatoes with it, £4 supplement for the lamb then another £4 for the potatoes, making his dinner cost up to £23 - pretty expensive for what he got, and the side of potatoes was too big, they would be better making it smaller and charging less. So all in all, the drinks were nice & good value, the food was on the pricey side of the scale, nearby places rate better in quality and value, so it is unlikely we would return.
