I have been to the Brasserie many times, but this experience wasn't the best. I had booked this way in advance as it was an arranged get together with friends.
On arrival they had no note of our booking, which they said wasn't a problem and would have a table for 8 prepared. As promised they did after a short wait. When we were seated they said they were busy with other functions on upstairs, so we were given our menus, we were handed the al a carte menu, and I had booked the 5pm menu. I explained that they didn't have our booking which was made way in advance of the date, and I had the confirmation email on my phone. I was told we were too late for the 5pm deal as it finished at 7, I said they shouldn't take a 7pm booking if that was the case. I must admit we were 5mins late and they had to prepare a table for us which was no fault of our and made it a bit later.
After complaining we were given the 5pm deal, this won't put me off going back but it could have been avoided.
