Rating Excellent Food (Rating 4.6/5)
I had been wanting to go to Bo'Vine for some time, as a self-proclaimed carnivore it was a must. Having been to a few steak houses in Glasgow, I was pleasantly surprised that this one did not over charge for their menu, and that their pre-theatre Market Menu had an excellent choice without the current trend of 'add £4.50 for steak/fish' nonsense - everything clearly marked without being overly detailed.
The wine list was the same, but with bottles starting at £18 I felt that there wasn't much in the way of price choice. However, the pinot noir at £19 was excellent. It was the only reason I have given 4/5 for value for money, because the meal itself was excellent for the price.
A cheese board on the dessert menu was very well received!
Will go again for a special treat for the chateaubriand and dressed lobster...but might need a good excuse...
