    Great food

Visited with family and we were all really impressed with the food and service. Great starters of fish pakoras and spicy cauliflower followed by a selection of lovely mains. Rice and nan were excellent sides. It was a birthday meal and we were surprised by an unsolicited birthday cake - our 4 year old was over the moon! Thanks very much!

Indian restaurant in Anniesland

Bawarchi Indian Restaurant is on Crow Road in the Anniesland area of Glasgow’s West End. Under new ownership since autumn 2017, this cosy little restaurant has quickly established a glowing reputation for providing great food and a warm welcome.

Authentic Indian restaurant on Crow Road

Bawarchi Indian Restaurant has an extensive menu offering a wide range of classic dishes from across the different Indian regions. With more than two dozen starters, ranging from chicken pakora to spiced sea bass, there are plenty of much loved options to begin with. For an Indo-Scot start to your meal, you could even order the haggis pakora.

With main courses split into old favourites, house specials and vegetarian dishes, not to mention tandoori options, there are many choices for both old hands and Indian food newcomers. Staff favourites include the North Indian dhabha ghost – lamb cooked with potatoes – and the desi lamb – a home-style dish with green chilli and aromatic spices. Of course, Bawarchi also offers all the familiar korma, dhansak and jalfrezi curries that you could wish for.

West End location, close to rail links

Bawarchi Indian Restaurant, located on the north part of Crow Road, is easy walking distance from Anniesland and Kelvindale rail stations. There is on-street parking outside the restaurant. The nearby Great Western Road offers several bus routes in and out of the West End.
