About Basta
Laidback Partick pizza bar
With its tiled walls and stripped floors, BASTA’s fashionably low-key decor keeps the focus firmly on the gourmet pizzas on offer. Authenticity is a core value, with various ingredients being imported directly from Italy, including Polselli flour, Strianese tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil. Otherwise, much of the fresh produce is sourced as close to home as possible, including from the Sandy Road Community Garden around the corner.
Pizzas, brunch specials and Italian small plates
As you would expect, pizza plays a starring role on the menu and is accompanied by a range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
Pizza choices include spicy salami with roquito chilis and mozzarella; rich chicken with smoked pancetta & ricotta cream, and butternut squash with goats’ cheese, mozzarella & sage (vegan cheese is available on request). As well as this, look out for daily specials such as the eight-hour harissa lamb pizza.
Brunch pizzas are available at weekends, with smoked salmon, eggs, ricotta cream & mozzarella being one very decadent choice.
You can also take your pick from a range of Italian small plates like spinach & goats’ cheese croquetas with dip, or chips with Parmesan & truffle oil.
