Downstairs in the Ashoka West End for the 1st time, a little cold, but nice & busy creating a good atmosphere. The poppadoms and chutneys were not part of the deal, but well worth the extra few pounds. Starters of Fish Amritsara was delicious, as was the saucy Chicken Chaat, Garlic Mushroom Poori and well filled Veg Samosas. The majority of the main courses were well received with a Chicken Korma and Chicken Jalfrezi getting 2 thumbs up, a minor complaint with the Lamb Karahi Bhoona was too much red pepper & not enough chilli. While the Lamb Rogan Josh was a little too creamy and therefore a bit disappointing for this reviewer. All sundries were excellent, as was the house wine & the Lal Toofan!
