The 5pm deal menu is quite extensive and excellent value at 10.95 for two courses, we had trouble deciding what to have! When the food came portions were huge, we couldn't finish the main course. Service was good, the staff were lovely but my partner had to go to the bar to ask for the bill which was taking a long time to come. If you're looking for a cheap and cheerful pub meal that's what you find. Externally the building is a 1960's construction which resembles a school, not very pretty. Internally, out of keeping with the modernist exterior there's fake Tudor decor which looks cliched and dated. However, the real fire is a nice touch.
