About La Trattoria
Friendly Italian in Southside
With its candles, checked table cloths and authentic recipes, La Trattoria on Glasgow’s Southside ticks all the boxes for a charming neighbourhood Italian. Launched in early 2015, the restaurant prides itself on the warmth of the service and the quality of the dishes served.
Fresh, local ingredients
Authentic Italian dishes made with fresh local ingredients are on the menu at La Trattoria. From the keenly priced lunch menu to the a la carte via the set dinner menus, there is plenty of choice at this St Andrews Street restaurant.
The pizza are made to order and the choice of pasta includes a rich carbonara; traditional lasagne and a classic spaghetti with seafood in a white wine sauce. Sticking with seafood, there is a fritto misto on offer along with herb-baked sea bass and a fried sole with tartar sauce.
Steak, veal and chicken options include chicken in a creamy mustard sauce and sirloin steak with a gorgonzola sauce. Tiramisu, apple pie and profiteroles all pop up among the desserts.
La Trattoria is unlicensed and customers are welcome to bring their own wine or beer for a small corkage charge.
