About La Fiorentina
Cannot fault this place, Soooo Gooood
Bank Holiday Friday night and what a belter of a way to start it. The waitress with the auburn hair is an absolute credit to this place.
The younger Italian guy and both the slightly older gentlemen are all really nice and friendly adding the authenticity of a true Italian restaurant. The rest of the staff are really lovely making myself and my family welcome. The food is amazing, particular favourites include the arrancini and minestrone soup starters, all the pasta dishes are great, my sister said her pizza was amazing. To make our evening even better was the lovely addition of live music. Amazing, what an atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
Best authentic Italian taste!!
We attended for the set lunch menu and what a variety of options we had for both starters, mains & desserts! I had meatballs to start and penne carbonara for main followed by strawberry mess. There were 7 of us so I wouldn’t be able to remember everyone’s food options but I can happily say everyone thought the food was delicious! The waiters were lovely and friendly! I’ll gladly be back soon!! :)
Quality Italian restaurant in Glasgow’s Kinning Park
From its iconic location in the Angel Building on Paisley Road West, La Fiorentina has been serving quality Italian food to appreciative locals and visitors since 1989. A Southside landmark, the restaurant has maintained its considerable appeal by respecting the heritage of Italy’s cuisine while continuing to create a fresh take on Italian classics. La Fiorentina has won several awards over the years, notably for being family friendly.
Innovative Italian food
La Fiorentina uses Scottish ingredients such as beef, lamb and seafood to create innovative Italian dishes. Italy’s different regions, Tuscany in particular, are the inspiration for many of the dishes. A starter of spicy sausage and borlotti beans is a northern speciality while the aubergine and baby mozzarella dish looks to the south of Italy’s culinary map.
From the pre-theatre to lunch via family roasts and weekend specials, there are several menus available at La Fiorentina. As well as pizza, pasta and risotto options, there are baked salmon dishes, garlic prawns; veal in wild mushrooms and beef in a red wine sauce.
The desserts include favourites such as tiramisu and profiteroles as well as a Scots-Italian fusion in the form of the gelato Rob Roy – honeycomb flavoured ice cream covered in Scotch whisky, cream and fudge sauce.
Kinning Park location
