    Tasty food and lovely staff

We ordered from the main menu and were advised to choose between 2-3 portions, apart from the gyros which is a bigger portion. I took the lamb moussaka and another portion. The moussaka was really big enough for a lunch portion. It was delicious and I took the rest of the food home which was also delicious. (Spanakopita). My friend had the gyros and said they were good and definitely enough. I had a glass of Chardonnay which was also lovely. The restaurant is lovely and the staff member was helpful and friendly. We would return.

Greek restaurant in Strathbungo

The sister restaurant to the original Halloumi restaurant in Glasgow city centre, Halloumi Southside aims to take the winning formula of Greek/Cypriot mezze served in a bright airy setting, south of the river.
Located in buzzing Pollokshaws Road, the restaurant is housed in a former bank and mimics the style of a traditional Greek taverna, with white brick walls and tiled flooring, with stylish additions like a marble bar and exposed bulb lighting. The restaurant also offers a private dining room within the venue. The space is ideal for corporate or family events including birthday celebrations, meetings and networking events.

Greek mezze dishes

The dishes at Halloumi are served in small, mezze style portions designed for sharing (equally, it’s perfectly acceptable to eat them all yourself).

All the Greek favourite can be found on the menu, including Greek salad, gyros, moussaka, dolmades, and souvlaki.
There’s also modern updates to traditional Greek food, like halloumi fries and feta tempura.

Separate sections for Greek dips, such as taramasalata and tzatziki, and seafood dishes like king prawns with chilli and garlic and swordfish steak, can also be found on the menu.

With an express lunch menu, a pre-theatre and a full a la carte, Halloumi has plenty of options designed to meet diners’ varied requirements.

Strathbungo transport links
