What a great find!
Last minute booking on a Saturday evening, everywhere fully booked when I noticed GoGrill on 5pm. Phoned, booked and arrived at what was once the Swallow Hotel. Great service, very attentive staff and the food was amazing! I had one, if not the best steak ever. Definitely worth a visit, would recommend.
Scottish restaurant by Kinning Park
GoGrill is the restaurant at GoGlasgow Urban Hotel on Paisley Road West. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, GoGrill specialises in dishes which make the best of Scotland’s natural produce. While the menus are rooted in Scotland’s seas, farms and grazing lands, the restaurant’s decor reflects Glasgow’s industrial heritage.
Serving Scotland’s larder
Stornoway black pudding, Tarbert scallops and haddock landed at Peterhead are typical of the Scottish ingredients used at GoGrill. Thanks to the open plan kitchen, diners can watch the chefs prepare dishes such as mussels in a white wine sauce, potato scone nachos, fish ‘n’ chips and a range of salads.
Featuring dishes cooked in the charcoal-fired Josper oven, the grill section is hugely popular. All the steaks are hung on the bone for seven days and then dry aged a further 28 days. As well as different steaks, there are pork loin steaks, roast poussins and a range of burgers.
Popular desserts include the white chocolate candy apple mousse bar and the sticky toffee pudding. Childhood memories may come flooding back to diners who choose the baked banana split or the knickerbocker glory.
