About Carnbooth House Hotel - The Dining Room
Fabulous, food, service and views
We went for my mum’s birthday. We had a round table in the window overlooking the snowy fields. The food was stunning, the service attentive without being intrusive.
We had a fabulous time, can’t wait to go back.
. Carnbooth House Hotel is a little hidden gem.

Scottish restaurant in Carmunnock country house hotel
The Dining Room is part of Carnbooth House Hotel on Busby Road, Carmunnock. The hotel is tucked away in its own private grounds and the B listed building has an interesting history. South-facing bay windows give wonderful views of the local countryside while the hotel’s impressive interiors are just as eye-catching.
Scottish dining with a twist
Fresh, seasonal and local ingredients are the mainstays of the kitchen brigade at The Dining Room in Carnbooth House Hotel. The menu changes regularly but typical starters might be the smoked haddock and potato fishcake with tartare sauce or the spring onion and chive risotto with Parmesan cheese and extra virgin olive oil.
Scottish flavours are to the fore in main courses like the roast supreme of chicken, haggis, grain mustard mash, buttered kale and a rich gravy. In dishes such as the linguini in a freshly prepared tomato broth, capers and mozzarella cheese, the chefs look further afield for their inspiration.
The sticky toffee pudding, caramel sauce and ice cream is always a hit. Lighter dessert choices may include Eton mess with chewy meringue and berries or perhaps the apple and toffee sundae with toasted almonds.
