About Black Dove
Lovely food and relaxed environment
The ox cheek pie was delicious as was the scallop starter. Service was great
Been meaning to try for a while as it has been highly recommended by friends. All the dishes were very well presented and not oversalted as I often find in restaurants. Loved the beef teriyaki but think it should have come with a little rice when taken as a main.

From breakfast through to dinner, Black Dove’s menus are as flexible as they are innovative. Diners can eat the in the traditional starter, main course, dessert format or pick and share from a wide selection of little plates.
The dishes range from classics such as the duck liver pâté to more daring combinations like the fresh Monkfish Cheeks with tenderstem broccoli, caper butter and broccoli puree. Seafood is to the fore and there are also some veggie options like the truffle macaroni slice and the warm polenta and herb mousse.
There is an Italian flavour to some of the dishes like the seafood spaghetti aglio or the haggis risotto. Popular main courses include the roast chicken breast and braised ox cheek with pea puree. Small plates that are popular with customers are beef medallions with Teriyaki sauce and crispy onions and the Loch Fyne scallops.
