Never fails to impress
It may be a 40 mile drive to get here but it is worth every mile of it. From the moment you see the building you know you are in for something special. Having the opportunity to sit in a Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed building and eat an exceptional lunch makes this one of the best places to eat in the west of Scotland. The menu has a good choice of courses and never fails to impress in the quality and presentation. The service is always courteous and efficient The prices are amazing for what is offered. When you have finished your lunch do not fail to make a visit to the house to see the amazing designs of CRM.
Going to the Art Lovers' Cafe for lunch offers an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime.

A perfect lunch
Superb food, speedy but unobtrusive service, left undisturbed for 3 hours despite the 1&1/2 hour suggested restriction, lovely setting. Delighted with the entire experience.

Contemporary south side Scottish restaurant
Art Lover’s Cafe is a modern restaurant within House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park. Situated in Glasgow’s south side, House for an Art Lover was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and is an attractive as well as cultural venue. Open daily for lunch, the restaurant’s team of chefs source ingredients from local suppliers to serve Scottish fare with some international influences. Art Lover’s Cafe is also wheelchair accessible and child-friendly, with highchairs and a children’s menu available for younger diners.
Informal dining in relaxed surroundings
The chefs at Art Lover’s Cafe create dishes that taste good and look good and if diners aren’t in awe of the beautiful gardens, then they will surely be impressed with the presentation of their meals!
The restaurant’s menus can change depending on the seasonal availability of some ingredients, but an example of the dishes on offer include the salad of seared scallops, chorizo & Stornoway black pudding; the honey roast bacon joint with bubble & squeak potato cake, parsnip puree and an onion chutney and cider sauce; or the Parmesan polenta cake, aubergine caviar and chargrilled asparagus with spiced beetroot.

Art Lover’s Cafe at House for an Art Lover offers free on-site parking for visitors, and is located in Bellahouston Park in the south side of Glasgow. The restaurant is 15 minute walk from Dumbreck train station or from Ibrox Subway station, and nearby Paisley Road West has several bus stops.
