    Worth a Visit

Purchased the big deal voucher 2 courses for 2 for £14. Excellent value for the money, food really good and staff very pleasant, attentive and accommodating. Wine prices not too bad either.

    Children were happy too

I booked two offers and took our 15 and 13year olds with us. The offer was starter and main, so kids were disappointed at first that it wasn't dessert. However, they both ordered tomato and Italian sausage soup and they really enjoyed it. We picked more adventurous Italian starters. The kids picked pizza and thought it was tasty. I paid £2 extra for prawn tagliatelle and my husband had spicy chicken pasta. The children had a fudge cake dessert between them and because it was slow in arriving, we weren't charged for it, which was a kind gesture.

    Disappointing

We chose from the Table d'hote menu. The soup was good, but the main dishes poor, e.g.the beef stovies firstly was a very small portion, we found only a sliver of meat and what the crisps were there for was a mystery; the smoked haddock risotto was tasty but no actual smoked haddock was present! Then with the sweets, there was rice again.
