About The Golden Pheasant
Great local for food & drink, good atmosphere & lovely staff.
We enjoyed our meal (we went for the early evening 5pm deal).
The restaurant was a bit quiet and on our return home we realised that we had been charged the full price and not the 5pm deal price which we had mentioned when we arrived, so a bit disappointed. Would recommend to my friends just make sure the staff are aware about the deal!
Welcoming neighbourhood bar
A welcoming watering hole on the Stepps Road by Lenzie, the Golden Pheasant at Auchinloch, or the Phez as it is known locally, prides itself on delivering enticing, freshly cooked food – all served with a smile. A family-friendly space, it has a separate kids’ area and a bar which offers live football, pool and, more unusually, table tennis. It’s a relaxed place with outdoor seating which comes into its own during the warmer months.
Scottish bar food
Well cooked and presented, Scottish bar classics are what the kitchen at the Golden Pheasant does best. Stand-out dishes include the beer-battered, fresh haddock served with chips and peas or the steak and ale pie with creamy mash. There is also a selection of burgers and old faves such as the mac cheese ‘n’ chips.
Other dishes, such as the mussels in a smoked bacon and cider sauce or the curry of the week, look further afield for inspiration.
Desserts like the sticky toffee pudding, hot choc fudge cake or trio of ice creams will take care of any spare capacity.
