Huge range of dishes
The menu at The Clipper offers a huge range of options ensuring everyone will find a dish they love.
The starters section includes morish favourites like chicken tempura, haggis fritters, and cheese melts.
The mains are split into pizzas, mac and cheese variations, sandwiches, salads, burgers, steaks and fajitas. There is also a “Favourites” section featuring traditional British dishes like steak and stout pie and fish and chips along with options from further afield like Cajun crepes and Chinese sticky BBQ chicken. On Sunday a roast is served.
There are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu and many of the dishes can be modified to omit meat.
Those with a sweet tooth will delight in the dessert section which includes treats like old school sprinkle sponge cake, Eton mess sundae and the chef’s cheesecake of the week.
There’s a separate kids’ menu with dishes like chicken nuggets, homemade burgers and cheese pizza.

The Clipper is just a seven minute walk from Dumbarton Central train station.
A number of bus routes go down Dumbarton’s Main Street where the restaurant is located.
