  Food was quite bland and some of the dishes did not resemble traditional curries. All dishes were lukewarm. Air-conditioning was full blast and it was extremely cold.

Stylish Indian in Lenzie

Founded in 2011, Rasoi Indian restaurant is a popular spot among the Lenzie community. The attractive booth seating facing the bar gives way to a light, spacious dining room which enjoys leafy views from the floor to ceiling windows. The chilled background music reflects the sophisticated and stylish interior at Rasoi. It is not hard to see why the restaurant is a local favourite for family celebrations, meals with friends and quiet dinners for two.

Traditional and contemporary Indian cuisine

The Rasoi chefs offer a clever mix of well-loved Glasgow curries alongside authentic regional specialities. Diners are welcome to choose a familiar chicken bhoona or experiment with staff favourites like the lamb Rajasthani and the murgh lababdar. What unites all the dishes is the enthusiastic use of locally sourced, fresh ingredients cooked with Indian spices and herbs.

An interesting feature of the menus is the selection of Western Asian dishes. These include chicken tikka fajitas, West coast mussels in a light curry sauce and a neat take on chicken Balmoral: roasted, spiced chicken on a bed of Bombay potatoes served with haggis bon bons and a light creamy mushroom masala. Platters of Indian street foods and evenings dedicated to tandoori and tapas dishes cement Rasoi’s considerable appeal.

Rasoi Indian restaurant is at Millersneuk Shopping Centre, a two minute walk from Lenzie train station. There is ample car parking by the restaurant. The M80 offers rapid access to and from Glasgow plus other locations in the Central Belt.
