About Mahony's Steakhouse
Mahony’s Steakhouse is a stylish Bishopbriggs restaurant specialising in high quality meats. It was opened with the aim of revolutionising the steak experience in Glasgow by offering memorable flavours, painstaking preparation and precision cuts. Led by a master chef, all steaks are taken care of in-house and are aged to improve flavour. The restaurant itself is a casually chic dining spot to enjoy a relaxing meal.
A masterful approach to meat
Each of Mahony’s steaks are sourced from handpicked Scottish farms that produce quality, grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef. They are also all dry aged for a minimum of 45 to 70 days.
Extra oomph is added via Mahony’s unique, speciality ageing cabinet which is surrounded with Himalayan salt blocks to maximise the tenderness of the steaks. This means that they develop a strong flavour and delicate texture before being prepared to exacting standards by the restaurant’s master chef.
Choices of steaks include fillet, ribeye, sirloin, Rob Roy and t-bone, plus sharing cuts like Chateaubriand and Tomahawk. All come with a variety of sauces, including pepper, gorgonzola, Napolitan and bearnaise.
Other grill items include lamb shank, chicken roulade and a range of gourmet burgers. There is also a fish selection that includes sea bass with prawns, Cajun salmon and steamed mussels.
But don’t worry if meat is not your thing, as there is a choice of pizzas, pastas and risottos too, including vegetarian options.

Mahony’s Steakhouse is on Kirkintilloch Road in Bishopbriggs, around a five minute walk from the train station. It is also just around the corner from the Fort Theatre, making this a great spot for a meal before a show. Kirkintilloch Golf Club is nearby too, meaning you could eat here after working up a hearty appetite on the course.
