Nice food, lovely staff
Mixed platters are good for sharing and great value. Staff couldn't have been nicer - they were attentive without being pushy and had no problem with us taking our time to eat and drink as we were chatting.

Merchant City restaurant and café
Opened in early 2015, The Wilson Street Pantry is a relaxed and informal restaurant, café and deli. Bright, white and filled with light, it is sleek but welcoming. The open kitchen means that customers can watch the chefs in action. They have competition from the window seats which are ideal for scoping out the Merchant City street life.
All day dining
The Wilson Street Pantry aims to keep its customers smiling throughout the day. A breakfast menu runs from porridge and bacon rolls to variations on French toast or eggs any way you want them from Benedict to baked with chorizo.
There is also the opportunity to build your own deli platter from selections of charcuterie, cheese, fish and veggies. Popular items include the house salt beef, hot smoked salmon and pickled veg – all served with the house chutney, remoulade and a selection of breads.
Light bites or starters come in the form of soups, pâtés and parfaits. Gourmet sandwiches or salads are packed with appetising ingredients such as buffalo mozzarella, the house ham, pickled fennel, sauerkraut and Arran blue cheese.
The kitchen also offers daily specials and popular desserts such as sticky toffee pudding or a chocolate pot with nut praline.
Merchant City attractions and transport
The Wilson Street Pantry is a ten minute walk from Central and Queen Street stations. There is ample pay parking nearby. The Tron Theatre, the Old Fruitmarket and Barrowland Concert Hall are all within a short walk from The Wilson Street Pantry.
