    Great experience at Sapporo Glasgow

Food was excellent. I had duck and my husband had King Prawns. Watching the chef cook the food in front of us was both interesting and entertaining. Cocktails were also really good.

Lively Japanese restaurant in Merchant City

Sapporo Teppanyaki is Glasgow’s flagship Japanese restaurant. As well as offering top quality sushi and sashimi, the Merchant City restaurant specialises in dramatic teppanyaki dining: a modern Japanese cooking style on a hot plate which combines kitchen skills with a sense of theatre. Fun, flamboyant and with a definite sense of flair, Sapporo Teppanyaki provides one of the most sociable ways to eat Japanese cuisine in Glasgow.

A memorable dining experience

The restaurant chefs cook using fresh ingredients whilst diners watch dishes being made to their specifications. A best seller at Sapporo Teppanyaki is the barbecue spare ribs although Japanese classics such as miso soup, sushi and tempura feature also on the menu, along with numerous fish, meats and noodle dishes. Sapporo Teppanyaki also offers a children’s menu and vegetarian options, so whether guests visit for a family meal, a business lunch or special occasion, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Merchant City transport links

Sapporo Teppanyaki is located at the end of Ingram Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City and is accessible to wheelchair users. High Street train station is around the corner from the restaurant and Queen Street station a brisk 15 minute walk away. Taxi ranks and bus stops are also nearby.
