Family-run Italian restaurant in Merchant City
Opened in Glasgow’s Merchant City in 2006, the family-run Qua Italian Restaurant has earned a growing and loyal customer base and has received several glowing newspaper reviews. Located on Ingram Street, Qua Italian Restaurant serves contemporary Italian food. With a Roman head chef, Sicilian second chef and Molisan owner, it is no surprise that many of the dishes at Qua Italian Restaurant are typical of authentic dishes found in both Rome and southern Italy.
With large windows which wrap around the corner site, Qua Italian Restaurant is a bright, bustling spot which is as handy for the concert spaces and nightlife of the Merchant city as it is for the shops and offices of the city centre.
Extensive & contemporary selection
The extensive selection of contemporary Italian dishes and traditional favourites keep the customers coming back to Qua Italian Restaurant in Glasgow. The base ingredients are all freshly prepared on the day and dishes are cooked to order. As well as the standard range of menus which Qua runs, there are daily seasonal specials which always feature two fresh, handmade pasta dishes.
The set menus provide great value and an opportunity to try some of the freshly prepared signature ingredients such as the Italian recipe pork sausage or the smooth chicken liver pâté. On the a la carte menu, house signature dishes include the Bistecca alla Qua – prime Scottish sirloin steak served in a sauce of wild mushrooms, truffle oil and Marsala wine.
Ingram Street location
Add in an array of pizza, risotto and great desserts and it’s easy to see why Qua Italian Restaurant on Ingram Street is such a Merchant City favourite.
