Had the wine and dine deal again and enjoyed it. I had chicken liver parfait but the portion was quite big and only 3 small oatcakes with it, but I had my bread roll left to eat it with. Pate was ok, nothing special. Partner had grilled watermelon and feta salad, nice and light to start. I had slow cooked lamb in a coconut and chilli sauce with bulgar wheat - again, ok. Could have been a bit spicer but the lamb was really tender and tasty. Not sure about the deep fried carrot shreds on top, though. My partner had the fish and chips, big slice of cod and home made chunky chips which he said was lovely. For dessert I had lemon and lime cheesecake which was still frozen in the middle but in the heat it hit the spot! Served with a gorgeous lemon cream. Quite a tasty wee cheesecake. Bottle of house white included in the deal and the waiters were handing out big jugs of iced water as it was so hot! Would go back but maybe in a month or 2 when the menu changes. Great value for money, average food but great setting and lovely attentive staff.
