Guy's looks nothing special from the outside (it has a narrow-ish entrance underneath a multi-storey car park), however, inside - wow! What an amazing surprise. Went twice and on both occasions it was full, the 2nd time a pianist & violinist were playing at the front. Extremely characterful restaurant with delightful decorations, including top hats & the like used as lampshades, a wonderfully atmospheric & dark (but perfectly lit) cosy restaurant which goes back a long way & has a very high ceiling.
The restaurant is also a bar with very comfy leather sofas near the entrance. Food was excellent & the price was great. Guy was there and full of bonhomie & friendliness, twice asking me how my food was. A real treat of a place, I can't wait to go back! I didn't realise the 5pm deal came with a glass of wine (it wasn't mentioned), at the end of the meal & after I had been given the bill they realised & deducted the price of the coffee. How nice!
